Communications & Engagement Strategy Public Consultation

Notice is hereby given that Sarnia City Council, at its regular meeting to be held on October 23, 2017 in Council Chambers at City Hall, will consider the adoption of a Communications and Engagement Strategy, including a Social Media Policy, Public Engagement Policy, and Media Relations Policy for the City of Sarnia.

The strategy consists of recommendations for improvement in the areas of internal communications; external communications and engagement; and conversations and collaboration. Other components of the strategy include roles and responsibilities and a set of policies for social media, media relations, and public engagement.

Copies of the proposed strategy and policies are available on the City’s website www.sarnia.ca, and http://clerks.smartsarnia.com/ and in the City Clerk’s Department, City Hall.

If you have input that you would like to be considered by Council, please provide it to the Clerk’s Department no later than Friday, September 29, 2017 by email clerks@sarnia.ca or by mail at 255 N. Christina Street, P.O. Box 3018, Sarnia, ON, N7T 7N2.
