Temporary Closure of Boat Launch for Paving

By City Staff

The municipal boat launch will remain closed to allow for preparation of parking lot paving, to be followed by paving beginning Tuesday, May 22.

The contractor is currently working on fine grading of the parking lot to prepare for asphalt. Asphalt laying is expected to begin Tuesday and take approximately two days.

In cooperation with Bridgeview Marina, the City has secured public access for boat launching. Bridgeview Marina is providing boat launch access during the temporary closure of the municipal boat launch, at no charge to users.

A full closure of the boat launch is necessary to ensure work can be completed as efficiently as possible.

“The City thanks boaters for their patience during the final days of construction,” states Margaret Misek-Evans, Chief Administrative Officer.
