Closed Captioning of Televised Council Meetings

The City of Sarnia has partnered with TVCogeco to now offer closed captioning of televised Sarnia City Council meetings. Closed captioning displays text onscreen of the audio portions of the meetings and can be turned on and off using Cogeco receivers or through the viewer’s television by pressing CC. In addition, assistive listening devices are now available for audience members at Council meetings.

These new features for Council meetings are benefit to all City of Sarnia residents but are especially beneficial for those who are hearing impaired.

Sarnia City Council can be seen on TVCogeco on Council days starting a 4:00 and 8:00 pm. For more information about Sarnia City Council please visit Sarnia City Council Meeting Schedule.
